Religion: Tibetan Buddhism especially bon religion.
Region/country: Located in Western Part of Nepal about 15,000 feet high, located on one of the highest part of Nepal.
Population: About 5, 000 people.
History: Dolpo region was developed during the Zhangzhung kingdom, which started in Tibet. It is very remote area which is slowly being discovered.
Dolpo is best known: Phoksumdo lake( the most beautiful lake), the movie “Himalaya”, directed by Eric Valie and was nominated for Hollywood Oscar for best picture.
I created this group to meet other Dolpa people and to educate people from around the world about Dolpo. I will post more information and pictures later and thank you for joining this group.
